PHASE 0
BEFORE BACANO GO!

Before blockchain collectibles entered the scene, Bacano Go began as a series of animation projects at Monster Truck Ninja. Here’s how our characters came into the spotlight.

BATMAN DANCE PARTY

The dance party that started it all! In this fanart video, 40+ of Batman’s greatest heroes and villains dance to Batman’s classic 1966 theme song. The Batman fan community went wild for Alfred twerking it. Collectively it racked up over 1.5+ million views and the attention of DC Kids and Warner Bros.

HIRED BY WB FOR BATMAN’S 80TH!

WB and DC Kids loved our Batman Dance Party. To celebrate Batman’s 80th anniversary, they wanted something new and fresh. So they hired us to create a birthday dance party and premiered it at WonderCon 2019’s Happy Birthday Batman Panel. What happens when Batman gets a mysterious birthday gift? Watch to find out what Batman wished for on his special day!

BUILDING THE BRAND

Seeing the potential to develop our style of adorable dancing characters into a line of collectibles, we began building a brand identity. Bacano is Colombian slang for cool or awesome, so we created the spanglish name “Bacano Go!” to reflect our US and Colombian roots.

In Medellin, lively color and dancing is all around you, both in nature and its people. Our logo, typography and color palettes are bold, bright, and vibrant and reflect the playful, toylike nature of our characters and joy of dancing.

During the pandemic, to help remind everyone that there was still positivity and goodness in the world, we participated in creating the show open for John Krasinski’s SGN (Some Good News) graduation special featuring Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg and more.

Bacano Go! is not a Licensee of John Krasisnky and does not mean to represent that, this is a work of fan art used by John Krasinski and the SGN team.

SO LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!
