FAQS
What’s an NFT?
Bacano Go! digital collectibles use NFT (non-fungible token) technology with unique identification codes and metadata that distinguishes them from each other on the blockchain. This is the technical way of saying that they are one-of-a-kind digital items collectors can buy, own, sell, and trade similarly to physical collectibles.
NFT’s can also have utilities. They can act like a unique and ownable QR code that verifies and unlocks access to real life or virtual events, concerts, or deals, rewards, access to exclusive websites, or special content.
What is Polygon?
Polygon is a decentralized “layer two” or “sidechain” scaling solution that runs alongside the Ethereum blockchain. MATIC is the Polygon network’s native cryptocurrency that allows for speedy transactions and low gas fees for NFT’s without sacrificing security. Learn all the details at their website.
What is a Metamask, Binance or Coinbase Crypto Wallet?
These are examples of crypto wallets that store your cryptocurrencies used to purchase NFT’s. One of these is needed to purchase and mint a Bacano Go! collectible. Having a wallet gives you a blockchain wallet address (i.e. 0xABCD….1234), which is also where your NFT is stored. Learn more about Metamask, Binance, or Coinbase Wallet and how easy they are to use.
I have a Metamask wallet, how do I enable Polygon?
In order to hold Polygon NFT’s, such as Bacano Go! Collectibles, and MATIC in your Metamask wallet, you’ll need to enable it first. Here are quick set up instructions.
How do I buy a Bacano Go! NFT?
To purchase a Bacano Go! collectible, you will first need to purchase MATIC from a cryptocurrency exchange like Coinbase, Binance, Gemini, or Kraken.
After you’ve purchased it on an exchange, you’ll then need to transfer your MATIC into a non-custodial digital wallet like MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or any other Polygon (MATIC) compatible wallet. With your wallet, you’ll connect to Bacano Go’s minting page, which allows you to buy an NFT.
When buying a collectible NFT from our site, we also have the ability to purchase it using a credit card and fiat currency.
Can I purchase Bacano Go! NFT’s using a credit card?
Yes, when buying in a primary sale from our website, you can use a credit card to purchase the NFT. We utilize Wert’s gateway to accept payments using Visa, MasterCard (or Maestro) and ApplePay. You’ll need to provide the necessary payment information typical for such transactions and have a crypto wallet address that accepts Polygon NFT’s (ex. Metamask, Coinbase wallet, Binance, etc) to complete the transaction.
Will the NFTs be sold on open marketplaces?
The primary sales of Bacano Go! NFT collectibles will be on www.BacanoGo.com. They will appear then on secondary marketplaces like OpenSea, Rarible etc. for resale purchase.
Where does my digital collectible go after I purchase it?
Your Bacano Go! NFT will appear in whichever address, or connected wallet, you used to purchase it. It should be visible in your wallet and you could view it on secondary markets such as OpenSea.
Can I resell my Bacano Go! collectibles?
Yes. Bacano Go! tokens can be resold on NFT marketplaces like Rarible, OpenSea and others that support Polygon NFT’s. If resold, typically there will be a 10% secondary royalty fee to Bacano Go. Some of our collections in the future may have different royalty percentages. So please factor in secondary royalties when considering reselling.
Will Bacano Go! collectible owners be able to collect royalties?
Due to a variety of technical, legal or regulatory concerns, Bacano Go cannot establish or distribute potential royalties to collectible owners.
Can I commercialize my Bacano Go collectibles?
All Bacano Go! Characters and tokens are intellectual property owned by Bacano Go! and their respective copyright holders. It is important to clarify that the NFT ownership is different from the copyright ownership of the art embedded on the NFT. So token owners can sell the NFT as any item of their property, but they cannot commercialize or in any way exploit the copyright of the embedded work. For more information, please check our General Terms and Conditions of Use here.
How are you reducing the environmental impact of your NFT collection?
First of all, this is one of the reasons we chose to use the Polygon network as our blockchain, as it uses significantly less energy than proof of work blockchains. This reduction in energy consumption dramatically reduces environmental impact and the Polygon network is committed to being carbon-negative and climate positive. Additionally, with our production studio in Colombia, we have a passion for nature and endangered tree species. We work with local government agencies and private landowners to grow, propagate, and plant species native to Colombia, as well as, support programs to conserve endangered Coastal Redwoods, Giant Sequoias, and Dawn Redwoods so future generations can experience them.
Can you make me a Bacano?
We get this question asked to us a lot. It’s a time intensive process of design, modeling, animation including motion capture, so we’re focusing on influencers, celebrities, brands or IP’s that have an audience potentially interested in buying their collectibles. We would be happy to connect to those interested in licensing here.
Unfortunately we can’t make Bacano Go! collectibles of everyone who inquires due to production time and cost limitations. Perhaps in the future we’ll create a custom avatar system or create Bacanos as rewards for super fans. You never know!
